You haven’t caught a cold because, at your age, you’ve had all the common cold viruses and you’re immune to them.

Before covid, I commuted through a college town, so lots of foreign students/staff would be on the train. Sometimes I would see masks and think, “it’s an Asian thing”.

After covid I think it will be somewhat common everywhere, like today we see people who are always completely covered against the sun.

@Dutchess_III, it’s great that you live in a place where new strains don’t come through often, but around here, and perhaps where @filmfann lives, we have a denser and more mobile population, we haven’t been exposed to everything, strains mutate and new strains are brought in.
I think @filmfann probably has a pretty good handle on how colds are in his area.

@filmfann, I hope so, I would like to see the incidence for everyone lessened.

It will be a mix since we have many in the population not wearing masks during an pandemic. I’m not sure what I will do but I imagine there will be more masks worn than previously.

I’ve also read that flu incidences are way down which I believe are due to people staying home and apart in addition to mask wearing.

I don’t see why not. If I’m sick, I have zero issues wearing one.

I think it would be a good idea to always require it in hospital/medical settings.

Before C19, even if I had a cold, I’d shop without a mask.

Post Trumpvirus, I vow to be a more considerate shopper; I’ll definitely be wearing a mask, if I have any communicable illness when I’m with any other people.

Most likely. It is socially acceptable now if not even stylish. I have noticed women appear to be more attractive with them for some reason. I can’t be the only one.
I think if you have a cold or symptoms it will be the norm to wear one now. It’s also a good way to signal “stay the hell away from me” too.

I thought I was imagining things @AYKM! I was getting appreciative looks from guys that I haven’t gotten in years! That’s crazy.

^^ I agree: masks seem to enhance the ocular angularity of the wearer.

Masks hide a lot of face flaws, like wrinkles and sags. Also they put focus on the eyes.

@Dutchess_III I think it makes people’s faces look more symmetrical. Also you have less to focus on and you notice eyes more.
