@mazingerz88 Plenty of my far left friends and relatives didn’t want to hear about looters, wrote “let it burn” when the fires were set in Minneapolis, we had a Q about that here, went crazy that any curfews were put in place, we had a Q about that too. Perceived everything as Trump or the right trying to stop the protests rather than realizing that people could protest all day long, but just wanted the streets free of protesters at night when a looting was more likely.
I certainly don’t agree that BLM marches justify what happened at the Capitol, the Capitol is a whole other level. The BLM marches were justified and good in my opinion, they were needed. Busting into the Capitol Building is not needed, justified, and is a terrorist act in my opinion. They are not the same at all. My problem is people seem unable to admit ever when the other side might have a point. Just because I agree with one aspect of something doesn’t mean I am the enemy and agree with everything the other political side says.
I see how so many people just repeat what cable news says. I know, because I watch the same cable channels. I wrote a Q about my governor putting 65 and older ahead of essential workers and the first two jellies on there wrote how horrible my governor is and a horrible decision. Basically, the Democrat party line. Today I just received a text that the CDC is changing the recommendation to what my governor decided originally. It’s just one of example of many that people just seem to repeat the party line, or have to hate on DeSantis as a knee jerk reaction. I blame the media partly for so much infection here. They never delivered DeSantis’ message accurately. I ‘m getting of topic, but I am sick of it.
Back to the Capitol and BLM. How do you expect Republicans to be willing to listen when Democrats won’t give an inch when Republicans actually are making a reasonable point and vise versa. It’s a stalemate. In my opinion there is absolutely no defense for what happened in The Capitol, like I have said before, I want the trials on TV day after day, and send the ring leaders to Guantanamo. That is my city! It is the nation’s capital, but also I was born in DC, I grew up in the DC suburbs. What is happening there is local news for my parents. I dread the day we can’t freely walk on the national mall and feel safe, visit the Smithsonian and the memorials and monuments, or our congressmen feel coming to work is taking their life in their hands. it is horrible.
Now, we have the Republicans turning on Trump, because it suits them politically. He is out anyway, and they are trying to save the Republican party. I can barely watch any of it anymore.
