Since Meowth was able to teach himself human speech, why are other Pokémon not taught to speak as well?

They all demonstrate a similar level of sapience, and with Meowth as a baseline, they are clearly at a human level.
Plus, all Pokémon have the ability to pronounce their own name.
Taken these two points together, all Pokémon should be able to learn human languages.
Why are there no schools or programmes in the Pokémon world to facilitate this, especially since it would improve communications between them and their trainers?

Most pokemon are wild, or bred in captivity, but Meowth is the only truly domesticated breed. It’s a Pokemon that has a natural attraction to money, and even evolves with a coin on its head. I think Meowth has adapted alongside humans for eons and thus is fundamentally more able to understand those strange human languages, which are word based, rather than purely inflection based like Pokemon languages.

Not familiar with Pokemon characters. But Meowth sure sounds like a potentially good mascot for bitcoin players.

Too many people, like Ash Ketchem, understand Pokespeak.

Most Pokemons lack the FOXP2 gene which makes language possible. It will take 30 to 40 generations of selective breeding before Pokemons will be able to speak.

Meowth had to sacrifice the payday ability to learn how to speak human.
