If "your mum" jokes were converted into "your dad" jokes, without further changes to their content, would they be more, or less offensive to their recipient?

“Great Question” (3points)

Take for example what the demon in “The Exorcist” says about the priest’s mother, and just replace “mother” with “father”.

It depends on which ones.

“Yer dad is so fat, when he goes backwards, he goes beep beep beep” is equally funny, or offensive. It depends on are you telling or hearing.

“Yer dad smells like a fish market” less offensive, because it would bring to mind occupation since Dad (probably) doesn’t have the orifice associated with a fishy aroma.

Hmmm. Accessing memories of “Yo Mama…” jokes from my youth…

Your father’s so fat, when he sits around the house, he sits AROUND the house.

Your father’s so ugly he could scare a bulldog off a meat wagon.

Your father’s so dumb they fired from the pharmacy ‘cuz he couldn’t figure out how to get the bottles in the typewriter.

Your father’s sharp as a beach ball.

Search on Youtube for Yo Mama. It’s a channel that make absurd videos based solely on yo mama jokes. They occasionally throw yo dad jokes into it. The two most common jokes are “yo dad is so drunk” and “yo dad is so dummy thick”.

I guess there has to be a reason they insert yo dad into it :)

I never was fond of the “yo mama” jokes so I didn’t participate
