But it’s secret?

If we do, it’s about time!

I have been disappointed about how un-involved the US has been.

zenvelo's avatar

I doubt it, because the discovery of US troops on the ground in Ukraine would escalate the conflict exponentially.

And what’s with the weird spelling?

Dutchess_III's avatar

How would they know they’re U.S. troops @zenvelo?

Zaku's avatar

No. At least as far as I know, the risk/reward would make no sense.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

If not there, then close by. I’d suspect Delta Force, a secretive multi service special ops unit comprising Army Air Force Navy and USMC special units who work in tandem. And if China gets into this, we will have to do better.

kritiper's avatar

No. If found out, the result would be all-out WWIII.

kritiper's avatar

@Nomore_Tantrums Correction: Delta Force is all US ARMY. the top special ops unit in the entire US military.

rebbel's avatar

C’mon @Dutchess_III, you can at least spell the country’s name correct, to respect the people who are from there.
@zenvelo even pointed it out to you.

Maybe/possibly there’s spies, but I can’t imagine troops, special or otherwise.
That could/would escalate things beyond recovery.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

@kritiper Ok, I been told they were multi service also comprising Navy Seals and USMC Recon. Bad info I guess.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@rebbel….I flagged it 10 minutes ago so chill.

rebbel's avatar

I’m chill.
I’m always chill.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well do you think I misspelled it on purpose, out of disrespect for the Ukrainian people @rebbel?

HP's avatar

I wouldn’t be surprised. I can’t think of a conflict anywhere or anytime on this planet since the Second World War where the Russians are involved and we didn’t have “advisors” of some sort on the ground.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I wrote too fast @zenvelo. It was a typo. That’s all.

rebbel's avatar

No, I don’t think you did that, @Dutchess_III.
I might have jumped too fast to a conclusion, after I read the question title, and that @zenvelo pointed you to it already.
No bitchiness was intended; I apologise.

HP's avatar

It puzzles me that anyone would assume the missing e anything other than a typo. I mean a deliberate insult? Really?

Dutchess_III's avatar

Thank you @rebbel. I also managed to end it with an exclamation point.

Nomore_Tantrums's avatar

Geez how can we expect nations to get along peacefully if we can’t even get along in a Q and A forum? Stop the world, I wanna get off.

KNOWITALL's avatar

We definately have troops deployed around there but Biden says it’s too risky to engage.
I’m also very disappointed in the US response but I understand the ramifications. Hard to watch.

rebbel's avatar

Me thinks we get/got along pretty okay.
If Zelenskyy and Putin came to peace as quickly as we did we would all be A-okay.

flutherother's avatar

They may be in the vicinity, say Poland, but they won’t be in Ukraine. It would be a propaganda victory for Putin if they were discovered.

SnipSnip's avatar

Yes, since the beginning.
