May I ask why you want to know?

I’ve never been stabbed, nor have I witnessed a stabbing. My guess is that it’s horribly painful.

If it feels anything like a liver biopsy, then yeah it hurts like hell.

Imagine a deep cut when slicing an apple or an onion. Then think orders of magnitude more pain. Pain so bad you will start to lose consciousness.

I mean…how deeply? I’ve definitely been jabbed a few times, but never anything that’s gone deeper than a short way below the skin. I’ve been lucky a few times. Once I sat on a glass table that shattered under my weight, I fell into it, and a big long pokey bit of glass went INTO my back and I was laying on it. But I didn’t fall far enough to get alot of momentum, and it was my back so…I think maybe a rib was there…It’s hard to be sure, I panicked alot.

I mean…yes, it hurt alot. Though, surprisingly, it didn’t really bleed that bad. I mean, it bled, but I just held a paper towel over it with pressure and it stopped after a short while. Again, it didn’t really go THAT deep. I’m not sure it qualifies as being STABBED so much as just a deep cut that I guess wasn’t near any big blood vessels or something. I didn’t even go to the hospital.

Depends on where and with what, etc. But unless it’s a light razor sharp clean cut, in my experience it tends to hurt quite a bit. The expressions “sharp” and “stabbing” pain are quite accurate. With a wider blade into muscle, there can also be a duller, crushing sort of pain. And you can also go into physical shock, as well as it being quite alarming to sense a large stab or cut.

I have twice, and I didnt even realize for a minute but then it hurt. Neither was in muscle, just fatty tissue.

Excellent question.

I have stepped on nails and push pins. They were quick and the pain only lasted for a few minutes. I cut myself opening a can or corn and that hurt alot and there was blood everywhere. My worst injury was when I fell out of a tree and had three long deep gashes on my side. It didn’t hurt and oddly felt erotic.

I can only imagine what a real knife injury would feel like other than a kitchen accident. It might hurt extremely or might be so bad as not to hurt. Most likely a victim would pass out from shock or blood loss before pain sets in?
