What is the minimum distance for sound to be heard in outer space?
Like an inch apart? A millimeter? Has to touch?
Also does a higher decibel reduce this measurement?

Since sound requires a non-vacuum, I would think it would require touching.

Touch. Sound is vibrations of air molecules hitting your ear drum. No air in space, no molecules to vibrate, no sound transmission.

Touching. like through metal. All other space betweens, zero.
