This is a complicated image. If this were my dream, and as a woman, I would take it to be about letting a man deny and delete my identity (the destructive scraping of the surface) while appearing innocuous and nonthreatening (the spoon).
I have in fact done something like this, to my regret.
The fact that the dream uses kitchen imagery suggests a traditional self-view of a woman. There is also the fact that a skillet is often seen as a weapon in certain (usually humorous) contexts.
There’s also the point that removing a nonstick coating means either (a) that things will now stick or (b) that the pan is now useless and must be discarded. Protection is lost. The coating, meanwhile, is probably toxic if you ingest it.
