[not NSFW] If 'voyeurism' is an affinity for watching other peoples' actions (often sexual), what is the word for hearing peoples' sexual actions?

“Great Question” (2points)

This is a question about words, not so much about sex.

Is there a specific word for auditory voyeurism?

Not ecotourism (that costs airfare & hotel rates) – Ecouteurism. Because the French are all over this stuff.

Which means the answer is very much about sex.

I couldn’t think of one so I googled.

I found auralism and narratophilia.

Probably auralism is the closest, but I found it in the urban dictionary, so it’s not necessarily considered to be a real word.

I am unsure of a specific word related to only hearing sexual acts. It however would be considered Compulsive sexual behavior.

“People who like to eavesdrop.”

Oh, except you mean not overhearing conversations, but sex? If there’s such a specific word, it’s probably a scientific term someone coined in a Psych or Sociology thesis paper.

A “listening Tom”?
