In most instances, as long as needed. My hot water heater is gas, so as long as the pilot light stays on, I have hot water!!! Now, it’s possible that the pilot light might go out during the power outage & I wouldn’t be able to relight my heater until the power comes back on. So far (knock on wood),I haven’t had that problem!!

Indefinitely, as my hot water is natural gas and not electric.

Zero !

We have a tank less water gas heater and electric ignition.

About two showers length.

In my experience, for an electric one it depends on the size of the water tank.

When our power went out for 5 days last year, we had hot water the entire time.
