Yes. I’ve never flown on a LARGE prop plane, but sometimes when getting connections to or from smaller airports, you get on local commuter planes and they’re usually prop planes. I have been on several.
They’re definitely not my favorite, but I don’t think the experience is because it’s a propeller so much as because of the size of the craft. Smaller planes are much more susceptible to sharp movements in turbulence. I strongly suspect that a large, old school prop plane probably didn’t bounce like those little commuter guys.
Also, fun moment, I was on a bazillionaire’s private jet once too. The company I worked for was bought by SAS in NC and he flew us down to SAS HQ in NC in a getting acquainted thing. He was like a bond villain. Remember the bond villain parody from the Simpsons who was super-nice but with just a little bit of a creepy vibe. That was the vibe I got from him. Kind of an odd duck.
Anyway, that was my only time on a private jet. It was a little cool.
