I think in a high profile case you cannot rush it. Its not like prosecuting a nobody. Or common person. If it was just some little nobodies who can’t afford high powered attorneys, then its easy to pick at a few things and get a favorable outcome for the prosecution. For a high power case you need concrete evidence.
Think of it like a murder case. The common person can be arrested for murder even without witnesses. Just a few things that show you were a threat and was close enough to the victim around the time they died. For someone with money and connections, you better show up with witnesses who either participated in the crime and helped before or after and have proof that you are the murderer. Then there is the fact that the common person can’t usually hirer a hitman. The rich person can. So no you have to find all the little threads that lead from the suspect to the person they hired
Just look at Derek Chavin who killed Floyd. There was video evidence and it still took almost 3 years to convict this turd. He was getting a lot of money to help with his case from the right wing. He only got 20 year sentence which you know probably means he’ll be out in 10. Then the other 3 got 3 to 2.5 years for not stopping him. Chavin was charged with several crimes and the judge gave him a concurring sentence. So basically he’s serving them all at the same time. How nice. So this is why it’s important to really have all the goods on someone before charging.
Then there is the Judge setting the case. Like the one in Florida. She’s holding it off till just before the primaries. I don’t think that is by accident. She’s probably hoping the case last for a year and Trump will be in office and can pardon himself. I still don’t believe Trump will ever see jail. There is no such thing as punishment for the rich and connected.
