@Zaku there are a couple of states and cities that have past laws making it illegal to refuse cash but they seem to be the exception rather than the rule. It’s also legal to refuse card payments.

@Zaku: Went to a concert at Boston Garden recently and all concessions and merch were non-cash payments only.

Same with a number of small businesses in the area.

Legal tender is a term used in contract law relating to debts. It does not apply to private companies’ individuals or the provision of good and services.
