I have no experience with the Ubisoft store, but I the fact that I can sign onto a new computer, install Steam, and have a list of the Steam games I have purchased over the years, and easily install them.

I do not remember if the settings get installed – say I was halfway through a game, I don’t know if the new install will place me mid-game or I have to start over.

Id personally go with Steam as it makes it easy to see everything in one place. Given its age I’d wait for a sale and get a massive discount. 85% off in the last sale.
The disadvantage is you still need to install Ubisofts launcher thing.

It might be dated information, but years ago when I installed ”Steam” It wouldn’t uninstall, and it kept harassing me to update. The same was true for the ”Apple” store.

@RedDeerGuy1 I’ve never had any issues with Steam. It’s a very well behaved app.

Not sure its actually possible to uninstall the Apple Store from a Mac but I’ve never actually tried.

@Lightlyseared That is great news that Steam is fixed. I was on a PC in 2007 when I tried to uninstall the Apple store.

Ubisoft forces it’s launcher upon thee either way.
Steam at least will give you substantial discounts once in a while.

100% go with STEAM. This platform is not going away anytime soon. I still have access to games I bought almost 20 years ago. I can’t say the same for other digital storefronts. I was going to say get it on the PS3 in the far cry compilation but the prices of PS3 games have gone up since I last looked. I think I paid like $4 for my copy. Appears like the going rate is ten times that now.

And, as if by magic it is now discounted on Steam.
