By urging everyone you know to vote for Obama on November 4, and by giving Obama every penny you can spare and every moment of your free time you can spare to volunteer for him…that would send about the strongest message you can send to a politician.
Thing about it is, the polls are telling him that people are disgusted by his campaign. Expect to see him disavow this negativity in coming days and try to take the high road. Expect the voters to say, “nice try old man, but too little, too late.”
I personally would go to McCain’s website and leave a respectful, well thought out blog entry enumerating that you respect people’s rights to vote for whomever they feel is the best fit, but for this laundry list of reasons, you have become alarmed and disgusted with the behavior of a man once thought to be honorable. And close with, please for the good of your campaign, your integrity and the entire country, put an end to this tone.
Of course, the fact that on Friday, right here in Minnesota, he told his angry supporters that he worked with Obama, Obama was a good man, and they didn’t need to fear his Presidency. I think he’s gotten the message, but do whatever you think is best!
