jvgr, I’m unlikely to go to a Christian heaven for two reasons:
1. I’m not Christian. I don’t believe that there is a Heaven to go to.
2. If I picked the wrong answer in #1, it’s unlikely that they’d let a nonChrsitian in the place.
That said, I’m not sure that in Christian theology, Heaven is just some kind of miraculous candy store and you’re the kid allowed to grab as many Jolly Ranchers as you want with no parents to yell at you for rotting your teeth out. Where did the idea come from that Heaven is everyone’s wildly physical and materialistic hedonistic fantasy? The Churchspeak I’ve head (back when I used to go) is that you get to Heaven and then you spend eternity being near to, and praising, God. It sounds kinda boting to me, but hey, that might be the carrot that some folks are after.
However, I must imagine that while being busy in constant reflection of the glory that is JHVH, one might not have time to be feelin’ up the other angels, let alone smoking, gambling, drinking (even good mead, like as in Valhalla), or doing all the other delicious sinning that they missed out on experiencing while back on Earth. I’m given to understand that just “being with God” is enough – maybe Heaven is not having that nicotine fit or tall cold weak pale American lager, when what you will really have is God.
Like I said, I’m no Christian, so this Heaven is not for me, one way or t’other.
