Guess what – the minute you see a bullshit URL, JUST like facebook.com.edgesuite.net, or fa.cebook.com, odds are it’s a scam. If when you click the URL it shows you the normal Facebook login page, then you KNOW it’s a phishing site.
Now, there could be a legit reason why such a URL would exist. If it didn’t resolve to a Facebook login page, then by definition it’s not a phishing site. Some web developers may choose to use subdomains to manage their apps. But to include the dot com is very non-traditional and should raise your alarms.
As the site doesn’t even load, I can’t really tell you what it is. But If it’s connecting from an internal Facebook application, then it is likely sending the data you create in that application, or whatever data it has access to [your name, etc] to its server, and thus would not be a phishing site because it’s not trying to take your password. That’s just the way Facebook apps work, or at least it was the last time I looked into it.
