About me, I’m an undergrad at University of Maryland and I just transferred there from Coastal Carolina in Myrtle Beach, SC. At Coastal I was involved in multiple clubs, intramural sports, student government, mixed martial arts fight team, and the Rush Chair for my Fraternity Delta Chi. I think I have a pretty good idea of what it takes to be successful and that of the college life.
Partying – Totally fun and awesome. Great time to find yourself and meet new people. You definitely have to go out with friends you trust and watch out after one another because there are predators out there and other crazy people.
Girls – Being in a Fraternity we liked to call the Sorority girls “sorostitutes” but all girls are different. You’re going to meet a lot of girls who are drunk looking to make some bad decisions because hell it’s college and it’s the last time you can be carefree. Everyone is looking to have fun.
Studies – You’re probably taking core classes now but depending on what your major is talk to you advisor about double majors. I am a Marketing / Management major and it’s really a minor workload for the amount that it will pay off in the future.
You should be excited, it’s an important time in your life to find yourself as a person. Go out have fun but don’t forget to keep up with your studies. If you skip class just make sure you read the textbook. Although your core classes are going to be a breeze.
Good luck!
