I need articles that outline the outcome of the West’s idea for developmentalism in Asia. I’ve been searching and searching, but can’t seem to find what I need.

All I can find are extremely long .pdf papers, but I want something shorter than that, kind of quick and to the point. Something that goes over the basics of why Asia rejected developmentalism, what developmentalism did to their economy – anything like that! Please, help!

I can’t help with that specific topic but a couple of tools you may find helpful in finding an answer, if you’re not familiar with them already, are Google Scholar and Google Blog Search. Scholar is great for finding academic articles and Blogsearch might help you find the more concise summaries that you seem to need on this topic.

There are two that I have found (neither makes a whole bunch of sense to me but then my brain turns off when faced with economics, and my son is badgering me right now).

One

Two

Hope these help a little:

> There are these two blogs called: Asia and the Modern World & another blog by that author on the same topic Only a few posts and very subjective, but it fits your description (especially the February/Februar posts).

> This human rights article tries to explain the differences between Eastern and Western values. It touches your subject very lightly (try the chapter: East-West differences).
