Hi! I have a great recipe for crab dip, but it uses a lot of bad stuff:
2–8oz. Cream cheese
1-cup sour cream
4 tbsp. Mayo

Is there a way to cut down the cream, but keep the dip tasting good?

You could substitute plain yogurt for the sour cream. You could also experiment with the amount of cream cheese you use and perhaps just have a slightly thinner dip.

Change it into a kind of salsa dip. Like pico de gallo.

You can always use fat-free versions. Fat free cream cheese doesn’t hold it’s shape quite as well as fatty cream cheese, which could only be beneficial in making a dip.

You could use low-fat cream cheese, low-fat sour cream and light mayo.

You can substitute plain Yogurt and a lighter mayo . Make sure the products are natural and contain no unhealthy additives. Check on plantetgreen.com Emeril’s page . Plain Yogurt taste like Sour Cream . You could add a little bit of lemon by taste if you want it to be more sour;but do it very carfully.

Substitute something with avocado and olive oil, they will add a great flavor and consistency, and they are ALOT healthier choices.
