OK, what are “oxen”? Here in Oregon, we have Kohl’s department stores. Good prices, even better sales, coupons and scratch off’s for another discount. Get people together, spend $600 in a yr, you get regular mailouts to use whenever, on anything, on sale or not, for another 15% off. I went to an End of Season sale, had a 30% off coupon, then they had another 10% off during certain hours. I bought 47 clothing items, dresses, shoes, hats, undies, sleep and lounge ware, shorts, pants, sweaters, tops AND a greeting card, for $499.78, saved $627.50 off original prices. If you go into their store and don’t find the color or size you want, but it’s available on line, they’ll ship it to you free of charge. You can shop on line and take advantage of their sales.
Get people together for a swap. This has been on the news, women have done this for their clothes. Everyone brings stuff and then goes home with “new” things for themselves, no money involved. Something someone else’s older sibling wore, is much more attractive than a hand me down from your’s.
Learn from the internet, magazines, tv, how to build a wardrobe with a few basic pieces, a few basic colors, that can be mixed and matched to make a large number of outfits, add color and fun, and updating, with accessories. Common practice among people in business who travel a lot and look good.
Buy light, end of season clothes, on sale now, and layer with sweaters, hoodies etc., it’s in style now. Look on the internet under saving money on clothes. Good Luck!
