It made sense to me, @SuperMouse. Sometimes I am really surprised to notice someone for the first time and see that they have 2 or 3 thousand points. That means they’ve been active on threads I never visited at all. It’s as if, sometime late in the evening, I suddenly realized that the party was going on in two other rooms besides the one I was in.
I’ll often add someone on the strength of a single fabulous post. I don’t care what else they’ve said, that one comment blew me away, and I don’t want to lose sight of them.
And every once in a while I’ll suddenly notice that someone I’ve admired for a long time isn’t in my fluther. I add them remedially.
I do housekeeping now and then, too, and remove a few, such as someone who sounded terrific but stayed only three days a year and a half ago.
