What do you want to tell your younger self?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37356points) November 30th, 2015

I want to tell my younger self that I love myself.

What do you want to say?

If you’re young now, what do you hope you’ll learn that you don’t know now?

There will be bumps in the road, just remember they are only bumps.

Bumps can be lived with. Humping in the road can land you in jail.

“Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn’t mean they have to pay for them the rest of their life. Sometimes good people make bad choices, it doesn’t mean they are bad. It means they are human.”

Thank you, @Tropical_Willie. I like that very much. It’s very true. We all get to be fully human all the time. That means we get to celebrate our victories and learn from our failures.

To enjoy being a kid as much as possible!
As much as you think you’re never gonna grow up, eventually you do. You can always be a kid at heart but you will still have to deal with the responsibilities of adulthood.

Screw up small. There’s that point where your gut says “this isn’t what I thought it was going to be”, that’s the point to cut your losses.
