Has anybody had their Hotmail account randomly closed due to violating "terms of agreement" when you haven't done anything wrong.

Asked by VanCityKid (579points) January 21st, 2010

I’ve just been locked out of my Hotmail account, I do nothing but send E-mails to family and friends.

Have you read their Terms of Agreement? Your answer may lie therein.

I have read the terms of agreement just before posting this.

This is why I have turned to Fluther.

I guess I should change my question.

“I do nothing but send appropriate, clean E-mails to family and friends”

It is possible that your account may be temporarily locked out because somebody else have tried to login and after several unsuccessful attempts, the system locks out the account to avoid possible threats.

Has your account been hacked into lately? Sometimes it might get hacked into and used to send out spam to your address book.

Ask around if anyone on your address list received any strange e-mails from you lately.

maybe someone else is using your hotmail account without your awareness, i think you should check your computer or change the password, since your account had been blocked , i suggest you contact the hotmail service group, and get the reason and you will get through this
