I went out to dinner with my husband. There were actually a lot of Christians there. Most Americans have Christmas Dinner Christmas Day night, with the exception of the Italians and Hispanics in our country make Christmas Eve dinner the big dinner and gift giving. My husband still doesn’t get it, he is Mexican, for him Christmas is the 24th. I guess some families do Christmas Eve with one side of the family and the Christmas Day with the other. Sounds stressful.
Tomorrow I will be dropping in on one set of friends in the middle of the day, and then a Christmas party (small party) with other friends.
Sometimes we have Christmas with my Husband’s parents and family who celebrate the holiday.
It is true that Chinese food is popular with Jews at Christmas time both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas Day really is the biggy because everything else is usually closed.
Last year we went to Vegas for Christmas. Place was full of Jews and Asians. I saw Jerry Seinfeld at Caesar’s. LOL.
Cruises are popular too.
Disney World if you live in FL. I don’t think I ever went for Christmas, but I have been the for Thanksgiving.
When I lived in Boca Raton, FL, a place that is about 25% Jewish, one of the night clubs had a big Matzoh Ball on Christmas Eve, where mostly the younger set came out to dance the night away. But, you can find all ages there.
