If I have time, I’m throwing supplies, firearms, and survival gear in the car and heading to luckyguys. Otherwise, I just hunker down here. I’m pretty well setup for a blizzard.
I’m going to @LuckyGuy‘s place and I’m picking @Kardamom up on the way. Even when we get down to the last supplies, I’m pretty sure she’ll whip up an edible feast.
I’ll stay right here at the ranch. Plenty of firewood, stocked freezers and pantry, spacious house and brownies!
Well..I’d have to make some, maybe herbal pumpkin muffins this time of year. @jonsblond Well come on over, we’re expecting a big storm Weds. night through Thurs.:-)
Yup, also headed to @LuckyGuy‘s home if I have to go anywhere. However, we are also well supplied, have a whole house generator and between the two of us, can MacGyver anything we need to.
I’d head over to Coloma’s. I’m a California boy but I’m sick of cities, so her ranch sounds perfect. Plus only women have said they going there so far ^_^.
Yes @Adirondackwannabe. My parents made a female snow woman anatomically correct. Well, she had boobs, anyway. They both got such a kick out of that! I was about 14, just shaking my head.
Definitely @Coloma‘s place. Firstly I think she’d show her guests a great time and secondly, every time it read about her life in the mountains I’m insanely jealous!
@OpryLeigh Haha…well, I would show you a great time, a working vacation maybe.
Here, have a manure rake and after we’re done mucking stalls we can have a few cocktails.
Life at @Coloma‘s sounds just perfect to me, so I would head over there. You do have a big raging fire waiting don’t you? And a nice old comfy armchair? Of course you do…
I’m joining @Adirondackwannabe, @janbb, et al at @LuckyGuy‘s house. I’ll bring toilet paper. I know there’s deer meat aplenty in the yard. I know with two strong, smart guys at the helm, we can last a long time.
Just for the record, I do not live in a shack. It is a comfortable house. All that fuel, wood, generators, well, etc. is at my home. Come on over. I can find room.
I do have a place in the Southern tier (about 75 miles away) but that has no services: just a trailer, unlimited wood, a pond and wildlife.
I can handle a lot but he would be great for fire starting and collecting dryer lint for the kindling fuel. lol
I think the best of both worlds would be the east coast/west coast pioneer pow wow.
A month out west here then we all go to @LuckyGuy and @Adirondackwannabe‘s for the east coast ranch party.
@LuckyGuy, this bag of dryer lint is for your thrifty use. haha
@Adagio I have been so busy this morning I haven’t even made a fire yet. After horse chores it feels really warm in here now. haha
No easy chairs but 3 big Navaho couches, a woodstove and huge kitchen and bar for all our food and comfort needs. :-) Just ignore the boot trays by the sliding door, and the goose poo on the patio. lol
I have a giant box of paper towels, delivered yesterday from amazon prime. I haven’t opened it yet but the box is 4 feet tall. lol
No worries about spills and messes here for months.
@Broken_EarthAngel Uggh, you would have to ask this question. I had a doctor’s appointment today in Cooperstown. Guess what hits the East? A winter storm. I wake up to 12inches on the ground and it’s coming down hard. Thanks. :)
