It could be any type of restaurant from a fast food joint, to a mom and pop diner, to a fine dining establishment.

What did you eat, and did you like it?

Three weeks ago, I had dinner with a friend at a Japanese restaurant in Mountain View. I had tempura vegetables with shrimp, very good, and my first experience of green tea ice cream, which was surprisingly pleasing.

I most frequently opt for seafood in one form or another. My husband and I were supposed to be going out for seafood today for our 40th anniversary, but he isn’t feeling well, so we’ll go next week. I might even celebrate with lobster.

Sushi with a co-worker a couple of weeks ago, at the bar, on a Sunday evening. And I always get the green tea ice cream.

A cup of salmon chowder. It was very good, yes. I had a bite of my lady’s wrap thing, too – also good, but I’m not sure exactly what was in it.

It was a kind of noodles served with sliced beef at a local cafe in Panzhihua. I liked them though they were difficult to eat with chopsticks. They cost around £1.50 for two.

I had tacos at Chuy’s for lunch with my wife a couple days ago, we’re usually running around and eat too fast, so it was nice to sit with her for a bit during the day.

@Jeruba – Congratulations on the anniversary! Hope you get to celebrate soon.

Saturday night I ate my first meal in a restaurant since my sigmoid colon perforated about 4 weeks ago. It was a cheese sandwich on white bread with a side order of mashed sweet potatoes (no fiber, low residue) at a family restaurant.

Oh dear @LuckyGuy. I had no idea. What’s happening? How are you now?

Did you at least enjoy the cheese sandwich?

My most recent meal in a restaurant was at Fenney grill. It’s at a Recreation Center where I live. We ate al fresco, but it is screened in, which I love, and a view of a resort style pool immediately behind with a wooded area beyond that has walking trails.

I had a hamburger, I rarely order hamburgers unless it’s a hamburger place. It was really good, it tasted like it was grilled over an open flame. I just had lots of iceberg lettuce and ketchup on it. As a side I upgraded to a salad for $2. It was a very nice spring mix with balsamic dressing.

^^ I’m doing much better now and expect to be at 100% in a few more weeks.
Listen to your Mom! Eat more fiber!

I had ground sirloin at a little place about 10 miles down the road. It’s a steak restaurant…very old and full of mahogany. Dark. It reminded me of the old Steak and Ale restaurants. The meal was surprisingly good, very good. They served rice pilaf and mixes fresh veggies with the steaks which was fine with me. The price was reasonable too. It was my brother’s birthday and he wanted to try it.
