Im in the early stages of listening to it and it’s an absolute crackup.
I watched the video on Vimeo a couple of years ago. It was great! Ove is the grumpy old man next door.
Read the book and saw the movie. Very good and ultimately moving.
I saw the movie and liked it a lot.
^^ I actually enjoyed the movie more than the book, unusually enough.
I just checked. The movie is on Amazon Prime.
Is a “crackup” a good or a bad thing? I don’t know that term :P
Funny thing
I read the book and loved it.
I’d like to read it. I didn’t know that this one was a movie, as well.
I read My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry and really enjoyed it.
I just looked up the link to the preview. Its funny and has a great story line of his life and lessons learned. However is it available in English and the book in English as well? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPoaN2XROk8
The book definitely in English. I think the film has subtitles but I don’t remember; it’s either dubbed or with subtitles.
@janbb I reserched on Amazon.ca and located a Blu-Ray in English..didn’t notice if subtitles ? If it is subtitled I would then prefer to read it in English. I hate reading off a TV especially if the subtitles are in light color and the background is white during the movie in some scenes, then I don’t see it at all. Here is that link to the DVD Blu-Ray ; https://www.amazon.ca/Man-Called-Ove-Blu-ray/dp/B01KK0CUU2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3RTF831MR14J&keywords=a+man+called+ove+movie&qid=1555084877&refinements=p_n_feature _sixteen_browse-bin%3A17246302011&rnid=17246279011&s=dvd&sprefix=A+man+called+Ove%2Caps%2C200&sr=1–1
Read the book and loved it.
