Two Vampire cults I was involved with in the late 1990s were the Order of the Vampire, which is part of the Temple of Set— and the Temple of the Vampire, which has Vampirism as the next step in human evolution. All Vampire cults tend to deal with the dark side of the human soul, the most sensitive aspects of the human condition.

It can get TOO dark, however, when you start to see the world as a much darker place than what humanity normally perceives. I began to see goodness as just an illusion because we cannot cope with how dark things actually are.
