This varies quite a bit for me. I can go a week without eating any toast, and then eat it in some way almost every day for two weeks straight, depending on what we are counting as toast. Is a toasted English muffin (the American English muffin) considered toast for this Q?
Typically, I’ll have white, rye, or multigrain toast with melted cheese. Sometimes I have dry toast with my omelet.
I make French toast by soaking the bread in egg and frying it in a pan. I put sugar or maple syrup on top. Once in a while I make a sandwich with the French toast, adding ham and cheese. Does that count?
If we count English muffins, I sometimes, but rarely, put raspberry jam. Sometimes I make a mini pizza with red sauce, and mozzarella. My favorite is bacon on a toasted English muffin sandwich. Sometimes I just have dry English muffin toast with my omelet.
I toast bread for almost any sandwich I make, but I don’t think of that as putting something on toast, do you? To me, that would be more of a What do I put on a sandwich question.
