I really like Clint Eastwood’s character, in Unforgiven. The movie, is great. I actually loved, a few of the characters…
But Clint, has the best character.
He felt SO real. Dirty, washed up, drunken guy. He was a very simple man. But. He had insight, from experience. He was a well rounded character. He was emotional. But. He had to mask his emotions, with alcohol…
He had to mask his, fear. His guilt. He had empathy, for those he hurt.
He wasn’t fearless. He was also a teacher, of sorts…
I just love that character.
I have to mention Deadwood.
I thought just about every character, was rounded, and well thought out…
It made me both love, and hate most characters. It conflicted my beliefs. I thought most characters, were SO interesting.
It was a series, ahead of it’s time…
Tombstone! Need I say more?
I hate most older westerns. Clean people, guided by good values. White people, playing as evil Indians… Pathetic…
I guess I derailed, a bit.
They were not all necessarily real life people. But. I think that they represent the era, most accurately.
