Somewhat. I wore a lot of black when I was younger, and now I’ve added more Navy. I think it has more to do with black being a little harsh as we age against our face, and also hair color.
My husband and I always had green in our houses, but now I’m liking blue too. I originally attributed it to being raised in a blue house with lots of blue clothing. My dad can see blue (he’s colorblind red green) so I think he favors blue because he can see it. Plus, my entire nuclear family is blue-eyed, and so blue also looks good on all of us. My husband and I laugh that both my parents wear a blue shirt about 80% of the time. Medium blue to navy.
I also really like brown. I always have and probably always will. Darker browns. That has stayed consistent.
I had an orange and brown room ages 11 to 15 ish. I picked it. Then in my mid teens I picked out white furniture and my sheets and duvet were stark white, and the throw pillows were huge, solids, blue, purple, orange. I actually want to go back to all white.
One thing that is also consistent for me is the hue I like best. It’s darker than a pastel, but not as intense as a prime color. I like Haitian art colors, but not against the black background, maybe that’s more of just a general Caribbean color thing?
Ok, I like almost everything. Lol. Just not pink. I’ve never been fond of pink. Funny enough my husband is the same. Especially, he comments on heavy blonde women who wear pink. He can’t help but see Miss Piggy. That sounds awful. He doesn’t say anything about women’s weight otherwise, it’s just that combination.
