I’m a big fan of documentaries. Check out “Prodigal Sons” -here’s the website: http://www.prodigalsonsfilm.com/
“Crash Reel” is about a world famous snowboarder and the traumatic brain injury he received.
“Three Identical Strangers” is about triplets who grew up separately and how they came to find each other as young adults, and the fame that ensued.
I saw “Tiger King” before it got so famous. I liked it a lot. Fascinating how weird these people are.
The Michael Jackson documentary, not sure what it’s called but it was interesting.
“The Laundromat” is a short documentary starring Meryl Streep that explains money laundering.
“20 Feet from Stardom” is about the backup singers for famous bands, and “The Quiet One” is about the Rolling Stones.
“Catfish” is about someone who got sucked into a relationship online which turned out to be not what it appeared. I’ve never seen the TV show “Catfish” but the documentary is what started it all.
If you’re into true crime, “The Jinx” is about Robert Durst and is a multipart HBO documentary. “The Staircase” is about a wife who was found dead and the trial that uncovered what happened.
Sometimes if I want something mindless, I’ll watch a true crime documentary about a famous murder case, like the Lacey Peterson case or something like that. It’s always interesting how the story unfolds into the trial.
