Is Brindisi trying to snatch victory in NY-22?

“Great Question” (2points)

The closest House race in NY is in NY-22. As of the moment, the Republican candidate, Tenney, leads the Democrat, Brindisi, by 12 votes out of over 300,000! There are still (six weeks after the election) “hundreds of affidavit and absentee ballots in the race currently only separated by 12 votes.” There is a lot of action under control of a State Supreme Court Justice, Scott DelConte. Some actions have taken place and others are scheduled for next week. See

1. On Election Day, Tenney held a commanding lead of over 28,000 votes.
2. With counting of as many as 60,000 absentee ballots, the race narrowed (ring a bell?)
3. One day after the election both campaigns requested voter verification by a judge.
4. The judge, DelConte, ordered that photocopies of all disputed ballots be inserted into their corresponding envelope (apparently NY does not follow Georgia in irreversible separation) along with the specific objection written on the envelope.
5. A review of contested ballots started on Nov 23, and found immediate problems: “county boards of elections, with the exception of Tioga County, used sticky notes, spreadsheets or other improper methods to record objections.”
6. “DelConte ordered a final report of the original canvass from each county by Nov. 30.”
7. Soon after, “Chenango County reported 55 uncounted early voting ballots. Of those, 44 appeared to be valid; these ballots were safeguarded awaiting the word of the court. ”
8. “In a Dec. 8 decision, DelConte ordered the county boards of elections to move forward with correcting errors in documenting and counting hundreds of ballots not canvassed in the first place. ”
9. “DelConte also ordered the county boards of elections to canvass all of the ballots that were not previously canvassed…”
10. “Voters with absentee ballots eligible for a correction, or cure, under state law should also be notified, according to DelConte’s order. ” Mind you, this is over SIX WEEKS after the election! You guessed it – DelConte is a Democrat.
11. “Once every uncanvassed affidavit and early voting ballot has been properly canvassed, the judicial review is expected to resume. DelConte will then review hundreds of affidavit and absentee ballots in the race currently only separated by 12 votes.”

So my questions are:
1. Is Brindisi trying to steal the election?
2. Is there any difference between his actions and Trump’s?
3. If so, how come there is no criticism from the press?
4. If not, please point out the differences.

1. Unless Brindisi is officially engaged in counting the votes, he cannot possibly steal ANYTHING.

2. Brindisi neither claims he has been cheated nor that the process is fraudulent, and he is certainly not losing by 6 million votes.

3. There is no criticism from the press because as with most of of your foolishness, THIS isa non issue.

4. Case closed. Open & shut.

Another case of those greedy Dems stealing elections from the sweet, innocent Republicans? The Dems are the party of thieves and criminals. Totally depraved and lawless! ~~

Conspiracy theories. The last escape for those who cannot think rationally.

@stanleybmanly has it correct. @crazyguy is making this up.

Major false equivalency.

Counting every vote, and pursuing every legal channel in an election with a margin of victory of 0.004% seems like the logical choice. The courts will decide what the law, passed by the state legislature, means in this case, and we will have a legal victor, and no one will die over it.

The difference is that the President is lying, and encouraging other people to lie, and commit criminal acts, to obfuscate the truth and build up some major identity based belief in the lie, so vast he would torch the value of the Constitution and force revolution upon the nation. He offers no legal rationale, only a mindless adherence to the lie, and the fact that most republicans are rat enough to support the lie and the coup attempt is absolutely disgusting and should shock every American to their core. To support any Republican means you do not believe in Constitution. You support the idea that the laws do not matter anymore, there is only a power dance in a pantomime democracy. Right and wrong are yesterday’s news now. That’s the difference.
