@Dutchess_III I used Comic Sans for my old comic strips I made as a college students.

To be honest though, I really don’t get the hate for Comic Sans. It isn’t the most formal font, but why does everyone hate it so much? If you show Comic Sans to a random person in my country they wouldn’t even notice.

@Mimishu1995 I kind of agree with you. I used it a lot for casual promotional materials in the 90s and liked it. I think hating it has become a “thing.”

I had no idea what Comic Sans was, so I looked it up. I think the history is interesting. The author also says “Although it might be seen as a novelty typeface, which is great for titles, it’s also extremely readable on-screen at small sizes, making it a useful text face.”

I think people hate Comic Sans because it reminds them of childhood, and they don’t like that they’re now old and boring.

In the 90s my sister used it in her emails from Boeing. She was a high level project manager. She liked to pretend she was a Mensa candidate. Considering all of that I her choice of font left me shaking my head.
I use Times New Roman.

Time New Roman is overused here and in some cases disliked.

I….wasn’t blaming the font! It was her choice to use a silly, unprofessional font and I found it odd.
Times New Roman is not “overused here. We don’t have a choice of what font to use. That was Bendrew’s decision.

I had no idea that hating comic sans was de rigueur in the font world (gotta get out more!) I love it – it’s fun and playful. Of course, I know when to use it, and when to use trebuchet or arial. I never use Times New Roman – too stodgy and trite.
