@canidmajor I immediately was uneasy with the nationalistic sounding name, but I assume that’s on purpose to attract Republicans who don’t understand why nationalism historically is horrific.
Do you even know who Kinzinger is? He’s one of the few Republicans to stand up against Trump, to denounce the January 6th attack on the Capitol immediately.
His message is to promote country over party, to move Republicans away from blind obedience to the party, it’s not country over everything else in your life. Still, the name is unnerving to me, but I think if he can move some Republicans away from the radical fringe (many of them don’t even know they are radical) that would be a move in a good direction in my mind.
He’s trying to give them an off ramp to save face. I’m sure it’s partly for his own political gain also no doubt.
I don’t have a strong opinion about whether this campaign will have a positive effect in the end, but your exasperation seems unwarranted. I told you the name before you clicked on anything. You didn’t have to click. It’s no different than any other typical political website.
To say it’s Neo-Nazi recruitment is to be completely unaware of Kinzinger.
