Pretty sure Reddit moderators deal with alt accounts all the time.

The better question might be why you got banned “well over a thousand” times?

Repeatedly getting banned is the bad part not multiple accounts.

What is going on in your life that you have such a need to open more than a thousand accounts to get around a bans?
Who is paying you to do this? Think about why they are paying. Do you really want to be a part of that?

I experimented a couple times, and made an account, and posted litteraly nothing on it, and it was banned banned the next day. They were just banning me because i was making a new account to evade my last ban.

You have way too much time on your hands to be creating thousands of accounts. Find something else to do that is beneficial to yourself or someone else.

When I was here I nearly got banned because I did not read the guild lines. Next time you make a account read some of the rules so you don’t get banned.

Imagine what you could accomplish putting that energy into something productive.

I notice that a number of your questions ask if you’re a bad person. Nobody here can measure your morality and worth. I suggest that you forget the idea of “bad person” altogether and ask something that makes sense; for example, “Do you think this is wrong?” or “Should I apologize?” or “How can I correct my mistake?”

You need to find a job.

Spend time writing a journal. Go back to look at past days in your entries, and ask yourself if you have done anything worthwhile to correct mistakes.
Do this instead of the time you spend online. Go into as much detail as you can. Remember to commend yourself for anything well done, in writing.

Try to avoid politics. Only speculating here, but I have had some issues with Face Book because I can’t resist knocking a certain political party. I’ve learned to at least TRY to avoid that. And it pisses me off because some other people seem to get by with murder. But life sucks and then you die. Anyway it’s their forum, I’m just posting on it. May not fit your case at all, but just saying. Whatever you’re doing to get banned, give it a rest.

But the OP is not a bad person for making reddit accounts.

You may not be a bad person but perhaps what you need to do is MYOB and stay out of the affairs of others.

What I find rather worrying is that she said that she made one account to bypass the ban, then made some more after it was banned too, then felt bad, apologized and promised never to do that again, and then did that again.

It showed me that she at least knows what she is doing. She isn’t influenced by anything out of her control like mental illness or things like that.

I have a Reddit account and I post a couple of things there, but most of the time I just lurk. One thing I notice on Reddit is that, despite Reddit’s reputation, you can only be banned if you break the rule too many times. The only kind of subs that will ban you for first offense is subs that specifically tell you not to do a certain thing, and even then they will always have a warning in their rules or bot replies, something like “we don’t tolerate this. If you do this you will get banned, no question”. So, either she just didn’t read the rules, or she did something there that people just didn’t want to tolerate.

But then she also said this:

So does that means she is banned across Reddit and not just on a specific sub? If that’s the case, then it makes me even more concerned about what she did to anger Reddit so badly. Reddit isn’t like Fluther. You can be banned on a sub and still able to log in on your account and browse another sub without any problem. Most Redditors don’t even know someone is banned from a sub. If she did nothing and still wasn’t able to use Reddit, something had to go really, really wrong here.

As for the reason why one of her account can stay for months, it could simply just be people not noticing it yet. It will get banned the moment someone finds out. If you make Reddit angry enough, they will track your IP and ban you.

Irrespective of the reasons you got banned so many times on one site I am at a loss as to figure out why you appear to either enjoy getting banned because in the wording of our question you do you not appear to show any remorse. but are trying to give the impression of being proud to be getting banned so often and actually bragging about it.

I am getting the impression that you are obsessed in getting banned from Reddit. You are obviously posting items which the Moderators consider blatant breaches of their rules and terms of use.

Neither can I understand why you continually start new accounts because it is not easy to open a 1000 accounts on one site one after another. Also look at the time wastage taken again and again to open these accounts with the sole purpose of getting banned.

You must know why you are being continually banned and if so and you did not want this constantly happening you would use your account in a way that you would not be banned.

Instead of wasting time and efforts signing into new Reddit accounts with the sole purpose of getting banned why don’t you concentrate your efforts in helping people her on Fluther. or elsewhere.There are 1000s of people who would appreciate help and it would also give you a good sense of satisfaction.

Bad no. Foolish yes and definitely obsessed. There is nothing I would want to say to anyone that would make me create a thousand accounts. Absolutely nothing. If you are being paid to spam people and you like doing that then bad may describe you because you are purposely trying to annoy people. If you simply just enjoy annoying strangers then you should probably seek some sort of help being this is not a healthy way to live. You probably have some issues about being rejected. Obsession for any reason isn’t healthy.
The reason you are constantly being banned is that they see the many accounts as a possible spammer. Look at any site and you will see that multiple accounts will be deleted. You are simply annoying to them but I’m sure most of these are just chucked away by some program.

It sounds like the OP has some type of obsessive disorder, which is sad, and potentially dangerous, at worst, or just a huge waste of time for the OP, and a massive intrusion and waste of time and resources for moderators who have to deal with, and clean up the OP’s mess.

People aren’t bad, their CHOICE of actions could be.

@Chestnut I have to disagree. People can be bad rapist bad. Murderer, bad. Child perve, bad.
choices and actions reveal who we are. Good people don’t purposely choose to do bad things. This works for children because they are innocent in their behavior, but once you are grown and know the difference you make the decisions based on the type of person you are and with the knowledge that it is bad, so this makes you a bad person.
