I find it mildly amusing that ex-felons aren’t allowed to vote in many states, yet they can run for President. Would that mean that he can’t vote for himself???
They would have to be a member of their party in a state that allows felons to register to vote. You have to be member of a political party which means you are registered to vote.
There’s no such thing as an ex-felon. You either are one or you’re not, with, I believe, the exception of receiving a pardon. If you were convicted of a felony at the federal level you actually need a pardon from the President of the United States. If you were convicted at the state or county level you need a pardon from the Governor of your state.
