.Even if I was that flexible I would not like wasting my time indoors doing odd contortions
I was a fitness instructor in the 1980’s and was flexible then and getting more so now
( lost a lot of weight and kept fit in my 70’s)..but still not excited about Yoga.
I attended a couple of classes and found out that it really depends on the competence of the Yoga instructor.
Most are too young and although they go through the set of flexibility know that that is not the only way to teach Yoga.
A competent practiced real Yoga Instructor will teach mind and body exercises to enlighten a
persons’ Spirituality etc ( Eastern Yogi ) as its main purpose was.
Somehow it became a fad here in the Western World, so far removed from the original intent
of Master Yogi instructors.
