I loved Three’s Company.
I think she was fired from Three Company because she asked to be paid the same as John Ritter when her contract was due to renew. She was probably one of the early women trying for that. I know they were able to keep the show going without her, but she easily should have made close to what John made if not the same, she was important to the show and people loved her. Most people guess incorrectly how long she was on the show, they think she was on much longer than she was, and I think that was because they liked her.
She was strong and deserves credit for her ambition and perseverance, especially when you consider the difficult childhood she had.
I never read her books, but I saw her in some interviews. I know she was very into vitamins and refused some treatments that her doctors wanted to give her for her first bout with breast cancer. I actually agreed with her refusing. I saw her once say that she would not refuse treatment that was proven to be extremely effective, like surgery for operable pancreatic cancer or like treating childhood leukemia, she was not a total space cadet about why she resisted some western medicine treatments.
