“GD, MF, JFC, GD, F, F”

I’m sorry for your toes.

janbb's avatar

^^ Yeah, that would work too!

Usually, JFC if I’m alone. It can be stretched out to fill the gap between the stubbing and the pain actually reaching the brain. JFCA is even better.

Mo pain, mo decibels.

“Owww!” Then gd, mf, jfc follow.

Owey.

After you stub it once, more stubs are sure to follow. Murphy’s 137th law.

I knew a guy who, when stubbing his toe or something similar, would exclaim, “Mother Fucking, Dick Sucking, Ball Licking, Whore!!”

Vulgar, but funny in the moment.

My mother’s favorite was, “Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, and all the saints!”

Dammit, dammit, dammit!

When Robin Williams played Mork – on Mork and Mindy – didn’t he say something like “shazbat” in similar situations?

Blackwater_Park's avatar

A stubbed toe is usually a “goddammit!”. If it’s bad it’s a “god F’ng dammit”. Screwing something up I’m working on where I have to start over or clean up a mess is “shit, shit, shit!”

I am glad I am not alone in the indiscriminate use of the “f” word during the day!! ;-D

With my diabetes, walking around without shoes on is a big No-No. The closest I get to that is as I’m getting ready for bed, I wear bedroom slippers, but at that point I’m only walking around a little bit and I don’t really have anything to stub my toe on. Years ago, I stubbed my toe really hard on a chair leg and broke it! But that was before I had diabetes. I don’t remember any curse words coming out of my mouth, but if you can picture Peter Griffin from Family Guy holding his leg and hissing through his teeth, that was probably what I did.

@LifeQuestioner I love the Peter Griffin reference. The other thing he does is hold his leg, foot or whatever he hurt and repeatedly say “Owww” for about 15 seconds straight.

Stubbing and breaking your toe reminded me – Once of the many times I was sleepwalking, I got my toes tangled up in the blanket which was hanging off the bed. I broke the toe next to the big toe. OMG it hurt sooo bad! It woke hubby up and after several minutes he wanted to go back to sleep. I laid in bed, but the pain kept me from sleeping.

When I got it x-rayed the doc said it was unusual in that it was a spiral break and it was all the way through. He gave me a special shoe to wear. He also said that he’d had a toe earlier that morning which the woman had broken by kicking her husband in the shin! Serves her right!

Fuck can be used for any occasion.

I curse like a sailor. However. When things are REALLY bad, I find myself saying “oh my.”...

GD, MF-ing SOB! (hiss through teeth as I catch my breath) OW!

janbb's avatar

@Strauss I can see where that would work!!

Strauss's avatar

It doesn’t make it hurt any less, but it feels so good to say it!
