In the late 1970’s an author by the name of Tanith Lee wrote a series of five novels called Tales From The Flat Earth. I remember starting to read the first one, but lost it on my backpack journey in those years.

Discworld?

Today’s task: See if a local library has Flatland.

@Lightlyseared Yes, Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series of fantasy books are set in a delightful world that is miraculously flat riding on the backs of 4 enormous elephants who are standing on the back of the great space turtle Atuin. The books are nothing short of brilliant. The best satire of the twentieth century.

@elbanditoroso My library basically sux & carries nothing worth your time. If the Flatland being recommended was written by Edwin A Abbott then you can read it on Amazon Kindle Unlimited for free or one seller has it in paperback for under $6 & another for $3. You can also get the Audible option for under $3 or possibly free…depending. One seller had the paperback for $20.

I bet one of the Atlanta libraries probably has it so you can checkout online & read on your e-reader. I think you have a limit of 30 days to read it. or it is no longer available.
