Here are my recollections of those tunes:
Winchester Cathedral- It was released in Autumn, 1966. I think it was performed by the New Vaudeville Band.
Honey, by Blobby Moldsburrow- I first heard it in Spring, 1968. I was really into progressive and edgy rock back then: Doors, Hendrix, Cream, Dylan, and the Stones. Consequently, I thought it was just sappy, AM radio flotsam.
My World Is Blue- I think it was released in Spring, 1968. The artist’s first name was Paul, and his surname was something like Mariat.
I really like Jeff Beck’s cover.
Eve of Destruction- Performed by Barry McGuire and released in the summer of 1965.
Buttfly of Lurve. I first heard it in early 1966. I think the artist’s name was Bob Lind, but since I thought it was just an AM imitation of Dylan, I only heard it about 3 times and certainly never bought the 45.
