“Great Question” (2points)

Recently realized Jim Jarmusch’s films provide me with some respite from the crassness of typical Hollywood commercial movies.

Anyone you can recommend?

I enjoy popcorn movies, but I always revisit Hayao Miyazaki’s filmography whenever I feel tired of formulaic action or drama films.

Try anime. There are genres for all tastes.

@rockfan I have most of Miyazaki’s films in blu-ray. Never gets tired.

@ragingloli Agree. 13th Warrior is always watchable. And Medicine Man.

@Jeruba High and Low is my favorite.

I prefer Predator and Last Action Hero.

@mazingerz88, Ikiru and the ever-wonderful Seven Samurai are the two I love the best. I do have trouble seeing Mifune in modern dress after all those kimono movies.
