@janbb I’m shocked by the answers, but that’s why I asked, to hear people’s answers. I wonder why so many people are grossed out? And, why @ragingloli was fine with it.
I asked the Q, because my dad every so often gets very paranoid about the US going to hell in a hand basket and that I should have a plan to leave the country. One option is Mexico, because my husband is Mexican, but when I think about that I immediately stress out that my sister might have fewer options than me or have trouble leaving the US. The idea of leaving her behind if they start rounding up Jews or the US starts getting bombed is more than I can handle.
Not that I can marry my sister to solve the problem, I’m able to out of the US because I’m married to my husband if we go to Mexico, but anyway, that’s the process in my thoughts. If I wasn’t married and had opportunity to save her life by getting married, it sounds like an option worth considering.
Regarding money, my estate isn’t really big enough to worry about taxes and inheritance related issues, but for some people it might keep a property or money in the family for more years avoiding higher taxation, like property taxes or inheritance tax.
