I joined fluther when I was a teenager & have met a lot of beautiful souls here. I have been so busy & life has been as good as a printer with ink! Hope everyone is super lush!

Wishing you a Happy New Year! What’s your goal for 2023?

I want to continue my simple exercises and add walking. I want to make some new friends in real life to add to my joy. I want to deepen my meditation practice.

My biggest goal for 2023 is to make it to 2024.

What a lovely sweet sentiment, @Tbag! I try not to resolve anything concrete, but I am hoping to be better at organizing and minimalizing, and being kinder and healthier and more joyful in the New Year.

I wish for you good things also. I remember your teen years. :-)

Hey @Tbag. It is nice to see you again.
I hereby resolve to exercise more and get into better shape. Also I will do some things I’ve wanted to do for years but kept putting off for later. “Later” is now.

Four things: I need to lose 35 more pounds, exercise more and continue to abstain from alcohol. I plan to finish a degree and I also need to set aside more time for my wife and I to spend together.

@Tbag, welcome back!

I don’t make resolutions per se, but I do have good intentions: eat better, exercise more, don’t be such a doormat, and foster world peace.

I don’t have any resolution for this year. Maybe I hope I can overcome my writer’s block, that’s the biggest thing in my mind right now. And also become more positive about life.

Happy New Year to you too! May you have a good year ahead and succeed with your own resolution if you have any.

I have an ongoing goal which is to get my house organized and minimized. I fear I may be six feet under by the time it’s done, and whoever has to come clean it out will be dealing with it.

I retired about a year and a half ago, and I have really tried to stop shopping, and luckily I don’t need much now as far as clothes and stuff, so it’s easy to not shop, and it’s necessary to not spend, and hopefully that will spill over into the house organizing and minimizing part.
