May he finally let off some steam.

Tony is another of those celebrities that I can’t remember a day in my life where he wasn’t a part of it!!! He loved what he did & it showed. He always said that he had NEVER worked a day in his life as he enjoyed what he did so much that he didn’t consider it work. I’m not much of a Gaga fan, but I’m glad she chose to introduce him to a new generation of fans!!! RIP Tony, you will be missed.

I wasn’t a big fan of his music, but I appreciate the uniqueness of his style and he seemed like a really nice guy.

His career was amazing. He’s one of those NYC stories. His family was very poor. He was first generation American on his dad’s side and second on his moms. It’s like my own dad just coming from different countries.

I be toe-tapping’ to Stepping Out all day. What a lovely person, what an entertainment icon. <3

I wasn’t a fan, not because I had anything against him, but just because his music wasn’t my thing. However, I do know of some of his songs and have heard them and he had a beautiful, soothing voice. Respect where respect is due – and he’s definitely deserving.

RIP and sing with your old musician cohorts as well as many you may not know.

I love his music, his voice and will always remember him fondly. His Blue Velvet with KD Lang is divine.

One of the greats. He will be missed. And I do think lady Gaga truly revived his career in the last few years. Especially at Christmas time.

@chyna Gaga has been quoted as saying that the time with Tony saved her life. it was time when she had been really stressed and feeling very down from what I heard. I think it was great for both of them. Sounds like it was a very special relationship.

Did he at least get to leave his heart in San Francisco? RIP Mr. Bennett. You were a fixture in all of our lives.

Those of us in the Bay Area are collectively mourning. It will be especially poignant at the next Giants home game, which is against the Oakland A’s. “I Left My Heart…” is played at the end of every home game.

Sure, but I could not name anything he ever did for any amount of money. That doesn’t say he wasn’t popular or famous, I’m just not into celebrities at all. I am assuming he’s much older than I.

He had been making hit records from the day I was born. He wasn’t my favourite singer but he was always there in the backdrop to my life and it is hard to believe he has gone. RIP.

I saw him with Lady Gaga. They were fantastic.

I guess I shouldn’t say I was shocked when I heard this earlier today, after all he wasn’t a young man anymore, but it just seemed to hit particularly hard. It’s not like I listened to his music all the time, but whenever I heard one of his songs, I really enjoyed it.

I think one of my favorite Tony tunes is Strangler in Pairofdice. ;p

Certainly. Loved his voice. He seemed like a very nice man. I really like how he tried to keep up with younger artists. His connection with Lady Gaga was great.
